Just about everything you ever wanted to know about dumbbells. The book is divided up into three parts. The first part, the truth about dumbbells, explains all about the different types of dumbbells. The second part, the master moves, shows you the exercises you can do with a dumbbell which includes many pictures and instructions. This part makes up about 80% of the book. And finally, part three, a million moves for your muscles, essentially provides the reader with tips and suggested routines.
A great resource if you’re into dumbbells, readers who lift regularly might also be interested in Treat Your Own Rotator Cuff to prevent rotator cuff tears a lot of lifters eventually get.

The book has some good features but they don’t outweigh the negatives. The exercises have great descriptions of how to do them but they lack the the list of what not to do. The exercises are grouped alphabetically which I thought was a good idea until I tried to do them. Since exercises are usually done in a specific order having them alphabetical it takes more time to find the ones you want to do first. Also, not every exercise book gives each exercise the same name. The book also lacks in listing good routines to get you started.

They’re nice. They’re not too bulky or long and fit nicely in your hands. My guess is that the “Medium” size provides about 5-10 lbs of resistance, depending on the depth of the water. I’m very happy with them.

I teach water aerobics and prefer these hand bouys to any other. I order them in mass because my students prefer them to the ones provided by the gym. They are durable and provide an excellant workout. They are the best quality out there.

Aquabells Travel Water Filled Exercise Dumbells – 1 pair Reviews

I recently purchased a set of Aquabells for weight training while we travel. We are often either flying or traveling in an RV. In either case, weight and size are big considerations.
Unfortunately, since I am not in shape to start with the full weight of completely filled units, I tried to add only a couple of pounds to each side to begin with. No matter how I adjusted the plugs, they would pop open after a few minutes and pour water all over the floor.
I called the company and they had no suggestions or help. I eventually had to pay the postage to return the ‘Bells’, since I had purchased them through Amazon.

I would give this 3 stars if the price were around $[...], because that’s about what these were worth. Very time-consuming to fill up all the little dumbell chambers; the dumbells themselves were a little awkward to use since the weight is distributed differently from regular dumbells and these are also bulkier.
It’s a great idea, and could be helpful if you’re travelling to one place and staying there for a while, but it’s too much trouble to empty and refill them if you’re moving from place to place. Just do keep in mind that they’re not going to match your regular workout.

We use these all the time in our home gym. Instead of grabbing a book or manual and flipping through pages all the correct advice is there at a glance. EXCELLENT photographs. Recommended.

This four poster pack is an excellent tool for a complete weekly dumbbell workout. The exercises are explained in detailed, well written steps, with a start position image and an end position image. I had no problem following any of the outlined steps.
The exercises are well organized on each of the four posters, and grouped into categories such as abdominals, back, biceps, chest, legs, etc…
I will likely buy more of the poster packs offered from this company in the future, as I consider them an excellent value for use in my home gym.

The Firm: Boby Sculpt Blaster Reviews

I don’t know how anyone could say this workout was “too easy”; I was dripping with sweat, literally! The DVD shows/suggests 3 sets of weights: Light, medium, and heavy, but really only the medium and heavy ones are used. It is good to have the lighter weights on hand just in case a weight is too heavy, you can quickly switch if needed. I don’t have the Fanny Lifter but I use the Transfirmer Box (basically the same thing) and Cathe’s High Step. I don’t do the full 14 inch Box Climbing bc of my knees, but I use the blue (8 inch) portion and really squeeze hard to get maximum benefit. As my legs get stronger and take some of the pressure of off the knees, I will use Cathe’s High Step at a 10 to 12 inch MAX height; 14 will always bee too much for my particular joint issues. This DVD packs quite the punch in 30 minutes and it really pulls me into becoming a Firm Believer all over again! I got this in the mail today and couldn’t pass up using it immediately and I am so glad I did! Doing this DVD really helps me to re-realize why I loved the BSS1 and 2 (Fanny Lifter Series) workouts and mostly the add-on workouts like this So Very Much!!! You get in just enough reps to really feel your muscles begin to shake and the sweat starts to drip within 8 minutes and continues well after you are done. There is minimal cardio like toe taps while doing french presses and of course, in the warm up. There actually IS ab work and that is for the obliques. You sit on the 14 in box and do side bends. If you really squeeze hard, you may feel it the next; I’ll know tomorrow. But adding on a few exercises at the end is no biggie. I mean really, 30 minutes and you get a total body strength workout that also lends some aerobic/anaerobic burn as well is amazing! I can’t find one thing about this DVD that I didn’t like or would change. In fact, it’s gotten me excited about digging out my old Firm add-ons from this series and see what results I can get over the next month or 2. It’s straight forward and Nancy is perfect in this DVD. So much fun, so much sweat, and a lot of heavy breathing! I used 3, 5, & 8 lbs dumbbells and it was perfect to start. The reps are slow and controlled enough that it will be very easy to heavy up on this workout when my body is strong enough to do so. The stretch at the end is amazing and it gets deep into your hip flexors and feels too good! It’s my new Firm Favorite! I love these add-ons and epsecailly this DVD! I’m 27 and haven’t done the classic Firms and can’t stand the Fimr Pinks, but I understand know why the Fanny Lifter and it’s workouts are the best selling system that the Firm has ever released! If this little ol’ 30 min DVD made me work that hard, I know results will happen with this workout! Invest in it and you will not regret it!
